Situated in Devon, Torquay is widely regarded as the jewel in
the crown of the English Riviera
Originally a fishing and agricultural town, since the start of
the 19th century the local government set out into turning this
quiet, rural village into a thriving, seaside town. Within only
a few years, families from all over the UK were visiting
Torquay every summer, establishing itself as one of the UK's
leading seaside resorts.
Still, in the 21st century, Torquay is a favourite seaside town
