Ealing is a borough located in the west of London. There are many attractions for visitors and
a great deal of local knowledge that can be obtained from museums expressing Ealing's past. A museum that is
definitely worth a visit is Gunnersbury Park & Museum where you will find a diverse range of modern exhibitions
illustrating archaeological research on the borough. There are also outdoor activities available such as golf,
tennis and football, all of which have their own pitch. Great landscapes can be seen from the Ornamental Gardens
and lake which surround the museum.
Another museum that may be worth a visit is the London Motorcycle Museum. Recently built, it is the sole museum in
all of London which illustrates how motorcycles were produced and demonstrates many models of the vehicle. It is
located near to Ravenor Park and showcases a total of sixty motorcycles. There is also free advice on how to
maintain and restore old motorcycles and in addition to this is a small shop where you can buy souvenirs to
remember your experience.
If you are interested in wildlife then you can explore Brent Lodge Animal Centre. A magnificent variety of animals
can be seen here including mongooses, exotic birds, goats and guinea pigs. There is an indoor area where you can
expect to see monkeys, spiders and all variations of reptiles. Many new animals are brought in on a regular basis
some of which consist of black rats, rare squirrels and baby dragons which are amazing to watch and completely
extraordinary.
For a more cultural experience of Ealing visitors can go to PM Gallery & House which is one of London’s
grandest arts venues. Attracting over 30,000 visitors on an annual basis, there are constant exhibitions running
throughout the year held within the house and at the gallery. Amenities for children are also provided such as
workshops where children are encouraged to create their very own artwork inspired by the PM Gallery & House.
Also available are courses designed for university students providing a solid educational platform for students who
wish to acquire key knowledge about modern art.
If you would like to spend a day out shopping, visitors can go to Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre housing many
popular retailers including Bay, Monsoon, Jane Norman, Next River Island, Sports Direct, Argos, Primark, Marks
& Spencer, Birthday’s, Waterstone’s, Suit Direct, Tie Rack and many more trendy brands. Food and drink is
obtainable from Starbucks Coffee, Morty’s Nepalese Cuisine and Bon Café to name a few. Ealing Broadway Shopping
Centre is open every day of the week however opening and closing times may vary according to the day.
For entertainment, why not spend an evening at Questor’s Ealing Theatre. The theatre is famous for being the major
community theatre throughout Europe and has thousands of members some of whom get involved with many theatre
productions themselves. Founded in 1929 Questor’s Ealing Theatre has thrived on its prestige reputation of
excellent standards in terms of the quality of all productions produced and the overall professional presentation
maintained.
