Dublin is one of the most charming and fascinating cities which is officially known as the Baile Atha Cliath or Ath
Cliath in Irish.It is the capital of Ireland, situated near the banks of east coast of Ireland and along the River
Liffey. It is voted as the most popular holiday destinations of Europe after London, Paris and Rome.The most
distinguishing feature of Dublin is the elegant Georgian architecture which makes it one of the most attractive
cities. The name of the city is derived from the Irish word Dubh Linn which means Black pool. According to the
Greek astronomer and cartographer, the city was occupied by the Norse.They ruled Dublin during 841 and 999 until
they were sacked by the King of Cashel, Brian Boru. The city grew rapidly during seventeenth century which was
helped by the Wide Streets Commission. During eighteenth and nineteenth century Dublin did not play any role in the
Industrial Revolution.But with the formation of new state, Dublin had been largely benefited than any other city.
It remained the capital the state during the World War II till 1960.
Dublin is a city that is full packed with attractions and sightseeing and is known for its
