Isle Of Wight
The Isle of Wight is an island separated from the south
coast of Hampshire by the Solent. Although the Isle of Wight is
in the English channel it is a county and not considered part
of the channel islands.
On the Isle of Wight you will find Osborne House which was
Queen Victoria's summer home. Because of Queen Victorias
presence the Isle of Wight became popular amongst prominent
Victorians which included members of European
royalty, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Julia Margaret Cameron
and Charles Dickens who is said to have written most of
his masterpiece David Copperfield on the island.

which is increasingly being focused on the national
heritage of geology and wildlife. However beach holidays,
walking, cycling and sailing holidays are amonget the choices
for holiday makers.
Three music festivals are hosted on the island, the Isle of
Wight International Jazz Festival, the Isle of Wight Festival
and the Bestival. Places to visit include: Yarmouth Castle,
Robin Hill theme park, Osborne House, Dinosaur Isle,
