Great Yarmouth Sea Front and Norfolk Broads Nature
Attractions
In the Norfolk area near Great Yarmouth you will find many
nature parks and atractions based around nature, especially on
the Norfolk Broads riverways.
Fritton Lake Park near Yarmouth is an excellent example, you
can hire a pedal or rowing boat for a spectacular tour of the
lake that is set in acres of picturesque woodland. With
everything going on at Fritton Park, it can be hard to catch
your breath and really observe the scenery. The area of Norfolk
and Great Yarmouth has the most amazing sights and it can take
your breath away at times. With the miles of rolling sand dunes
and hills, stretches of river waterways as far as you can see,
and the most soft, enchanting skies, surely it will feel like a
dream - a dream come true.
The excitment of Norfolk doesn't stop at the natural beauty of
the place and there are many attractions to entertain the more
adventurous holiday maker. Like playing a game of mini golf on
one of the craziest courses around based on Great Yarmouth's
sea front. After playing crazy golf at Great Yarmouth, you will
definitely find yourself addicted to the spectacular and
original design of Yarmouth's mini golf course. There are also
plenty of amusement arcades located around this hot spot that
children and teens will find themselves spending hours playing
in. Yarmouth's beach is an amazing stretch of golden sand
overlooked by the Brittania pier at one end.
However, if you find the weather uncooperative for laying on
the beach, do not fret. During those days where the weather is
less than sunny, theres still much to see and do in Yarmouth.
The wonderful feature of Great Yarmouth is although it may be a
seaside spot, there are numerous indoor attractions and
amusements so you can never get bored. On the sea front beach
road you will find Amazonia which is worth a visit to educate
yourself about some of the coolest reptiles and animals on the
planet. Or you could make some discoveries about the
magnificent fish and other organisms that live in our local
waters by visiting the Yarmouth Sea Life Centre. The Sea Life
Centre located on Marine Parade has various demonstrations
throughout the day and even has a shark tank. Or take a journey
back in time to a bygone age by visiting Yesterday's World, a
relatively new attraction at Great Yarmouth. This interesting
museum attraction offers a view into the past with displays
such as an amazing fairground carousel, Queen Victoria,
Frankenstein, Wheelrights and much more to keep the family
amused. Even with all of the new, contemporary additions to
this romantic vacation spot that is Yarmouth, Yesterday's World
offers an amazing insight into a piece of history.
The peaceful haven of Great Yarmouth used to have one of the
busiest fishing ports and the locals are still full of many
affectionate and exciting stories about the fishing fleets of
the past. Unfortunately now there is only the odd commercial
fishing boat left in Yarmouth's port due to the decline in
fishing throughout the area. Another piece of Yarmouth's
history and fame is due to Anna Sewell, who was born in the
quaint town of Yarmouth. Now we know where she got the
inspiration to write the best seller, classic book "Black
Beauty".
With all of the history and the modern attractions of Yarmouth
in Norfolk, it is definitely no question that Great Yarmouth
would make the perfect holiday and give you precious family
memories to last you a life time.
