Return to Eden

telling and lantern parades.
The Magic of Merlin

be a visit to Tintagel Castle. With its spectacular location on north Cornwall's dramatic and windswept Atlantic
coastline, Tintagel is a place of magic and myth where the legend of King Arthur was born. Even though this 13th

explore Merlin's Cave, but be careful as the cave is cut off by tides twice a day. Finish by building your own

Go on a Family Surfing Safari
Cornwall's northern coast is the ideal location to set off on your very own family surfing safari. Newquay is at
the heart of Britain's surfing culture and the prefect place for families to learn how to ride the waves at the
National Surfing Centre, one of Britain's top surfing schools. At their bases on North Fistral Beach and Lusty
Glaze beach, The National Surfing Centre offers a wide range of courses including half-day taster sessions.
Kids-only classes run throughout the summer months for children aged 8 -12. You'll also find surf schools further
down the coast at the Sennen Surfing Centre and further up the coast at Bude at the Big Blue Surf School.
Talk to the Animals at Newquay Zoo
If you want to take your little monkeys to see the real thing then Newquay Zoo will keep the whole family
entertained. Set in 10 acres of exotic lakeside gardens, Newquay Zoo has over 130 different species including
lemurs, penguins, meerkats, lions and of course monkeys. Spot the exotic animals in the open jungle rainforest
exhibit in the Tropical House, or let your children explore the Tarzan Trail, visit the Village Farm or find their
way through the Dragon Maze. Events are run throughout the year and there's late evening opening in
summer.
